About Course
Kerala mural paintings are the frescos depicting mythology and legends, which are drawn on the walls of temples in South India, principally in Kerala. The temples and palaces of Kerala are a visual treat depicting sagas of ancient Hindu Gods and Goddesses. Five elements of nature form an integral part of the painting. The most frequently used pigments in Kerala murals are saffron-red(Fire), saffron-yellow, green, Indian red(Earth), white, blue(Water and Sky), black, yellow and golden-yellow. Air is depicted in the flowing dresses and flower garlands in the painting.
