HI, I am Lavanya the heart, mind & soul behind this creative nuance of art. As an individual I strongly believe, my yesterday’s accident is my today’s reason to reminisce the moments, to make my tomorrow eventful and joyful. I launched my art studio with compassion to achieve my dream from my past. “LAVIS THE SHADES”, is the place for every art lover. It has been functional since 2007. For more than a decade, the journey of my studio has given me a reason to live, laugh, and love my life along with my kith & kin. Why stop when you can preach, teach and learn? The inviting eyes of many artists to teach encourage me to share my knowledge and experience with my students, in different mediums and through various courses offered exclusively under my roof.
LAVIS THE SHADES has trained and shaped the art journey of several students in different forms of paintings like Kerala Murals, Tanjore, Portraits, Acrylics, Watercolours, Oils, and more. I let them evolve along with my revolutionary changes to art and guide them with various mediums and innovative methods. LAVIS THE SHADES conducts an exhibition annually, displaying the best of my hand works and some exemplary works performed by my students who are also proudly known as my prodigies.

Vision and Mission
A compassion to fulfil my Passion in art since childhood days, encouraged me to wire my imaginations with pencil, paper and colour. My expressions are revealed in spontaneous flow of art which speaks even about my subconscious thoughts. As we all know “a pen is mightier than a sword”, for me “my art is mightier than my words”, to show the world about my dream. My work has evolved over the years to encompass a variety of mediums, to begin with from traditional to innovative techniques. I want my artwork to resonate with common people, simple and easy for people to relate to. My work is grounded with good drawing and aesthetics.
A twin contemplation of art with teaching is the value addition of LAVI’s Shades and here I began my enthusiastic journey with eager learners in the year 2007.
